Every engagement starts as a drawing. It costs a day, and it settles the argument about scope before anyone has spent money on equipment that turns out to be the wrong equipment.
How we work, and what we run on.
DawoudTech designs, builds and supports the infrastructure businesses in Syria run on — networks, servers, cloud, mail, and the software between them. This page is about how that is done and what it runs on, which is more use to someone deciding whether to hire us than a company history would be.
How we work
One person owns the problem
The engineer who designed the system installs it, and answers the phone when it breaks. Nothing is relayed through somebody who was not there.
Test the restore, not the backup
A backup nobody has ever restored from is a hope, not a backup. We restore one before handover, and you watch it work.
Documentation is part of the delivery
You are handed the drawing, the credentials and the build notes. A system only we can maintain is not a system you own.
Deliver in stages you approved
Work is staged and scheduled around your working hours, so you always know which stage you are in and what happens next.

- DNS, edge delivery, certificates and the protection in front of every site we run.
- Contabo
- European servers, where client systems and our own infrastructure live.
- Ubuntu and Debian
- What those servers run. Chosen for the length of their support windows rather than for novelty.
- nginx
- In front of the applications, handling TLS termination and routing.
- This website
- Runs on the same stack, on the same servers, behind the same edge network. If it is fast for you, that is the argument.
What we don't do
- We don't sell hardware we haven't specified.
- We don't take on work we can't support afterwards.
- We don't quote before we've seen the site.
- We don't hold your credentials, your domain or your documentation hostage.
